The ECIS will once again head out on the Warped Tour in one month! We will be traveling with the tour for a month hosting some of the best signed and unsigned bands around. This year the ECIS will be hosted on the Kia Kevin Says Stageing area so make sure to come out and support the bands!

Another Year for the East Coast Indie Stage

Zach Neil, owner of East Coast Independent Inc and founder of the East Coast Indie Stage confirmed Friday that in fact the East Coast Indie Stage would return for Warped Tour 2009. Zach Neil had this to say, “Last year we had a hell of a time trying to float the expenses of the tour with fuel prices at $5 per gallon running a tour bus and a semi truck. A lot of people have always counted my little stage out for some reason? Well surprise again, we are the little stage that could I suppose. Even though last year was a struggle, watching Four Year Strong and Patent Pending play to three thousand screaming fans in Detroit and Long Island reminded me exactly what this stage is all about and why its so important to be out there. In short you could say I have been inspired once again by rock and roll! In the same vein as the previous years my stage will showcase upcoming bands that we have hand picked. Some people don’t like the bands we pick for the stage however I feel like our radar is spot on with our picks, I mean lets remember the bands we have debuted on the stage, All Time Low, Four Year Strong, Forever The Sickest Kids, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Motionless In White, If I’m not mistaken most of those bands have gone on to be headliners of the tour… That’s what its all about for me, taking baby bands and helping them graduate. I can’t wait to get back out there!” Kevin Lyman (warped tour founder) has partnered with Zach Neil to present the stage in 2009 sharing Kevins already stellar staging and production the ECIS will be redressed and repacked as the Kevin Says/East Coast Indie Stage. For the East Coast Indie stage, warped tour has come to an end. We had another successful year but most of all we’ve all made memories that will last a lifetime. Something about being on the Warped Tour will always make me feel like a kid, it brings me right back to the first time I stood in line to get in back in 1997. After all these years, I’ve seen a lot of changes, some I love and some I hate…but nothing is better than passing by your favorite artists playing your favorite songs all day. From a kid admiring the tour to now being part of the production is truely a dream…we would like to thank Kevin Lyman for making this all possible for us. So many unsigned bands have had the chance to play the biggest tour in the world because of the East Coast Indie Stage, we are blessed that Kevin cares about the small guys as much as the big to allow us to make these dreams happen.

Thanks to all of the fans that came out to support the bands on our stage, without you this all would not be possible!!!

Raise your glass and toast to good times…to my bus mates…I love you guys….and your smelly clothes and dirty feet…I can’t wait to do it again. See you guys next year…

Split Fifty is back….

Split Fifty, a rock back from PA decides to end their six month hiatus. They began their reunion with dates on the Warped Tour; the fans couldn’t have been happier. Their crowds were filled with kids who knew every word to their songs. The band was definitely a must see on the tour. Split Fifty were named hometown hero’s in Alternative Press and also a band to watch in 2008. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these guys…

Dead Legend is Awesome!!!

Why do boys love video games?

After another long day working in the hot sun at Warped tour (today we were in Philly) I decide that I must take a shower. I was going on my fourth day not showering and I just couldn’t mask my smell anymore…so I wait a dreaded two hours and finally get a shower. I thought it would be freezing but surprisingly it was warm and soooooo refreshing. I make my way back to the bus to find members from Dead Legend, Pull the Pin, and Red Car Wire playing video games. All of these guys are jam packed into a tiny space around the tv to watch whoever playing Halo!!!! I will never understand why boys love video games so much and honestly am way to exhausted to get into it. If any of you girls have the answer please fill me in. It’s been a long day and I feel like I just might be getting a sore throat, so I’m out for tonight. New York here we come….D

Rain Rain Go Away!!!!!

We have had a few days off, as you can see I haven’t posted anything since last week. Warped tour had gone to Canada and the East Coast Indie stage has never made the trip, so we took a much needed three days off, cleaned ourselves up, washed some clothes, restocked the fridge and we’re back in motion coming to see all of you fine people.

Today we were in Boston and I really do love this date, partly because we always get the most awesome pre-built stage but mostly because the crowds and fans are always kick ass. Boston hardcore kids are insane!!!! Even though we had to cut the stage short today because of rain (rain rain go away), we were able to showcase some amazing bands and I got some pictures for you..don’t worry your pretty little head off!

I must tell you though…because I’m still completely creeped out….as I was in the dinner line today, after a long day of work…I run my hands through my hair to find a large, hard, brown, spider. I screamed of course and everyone looked at me like I was a fool, but I couldn’t help it… I HATE SPIDERS. As I sit here and type this I still feel like it’s still on me, has that ever happened to you?

Ok…on to the pictures…here is a Boston based band called A Loss for Words, they were really good and the crowd went crazy for them. They are also playing our stage in Wisconsin and Massachusetts so if you guys have tickets make sure you come and check them out…and dance!!! Motionless in White kicked some metal ass too (I had to give them a shout)…and today was also the return of Split Fifty. The band has been on hiatus for about six months, but they came back today and didn’t miss a beat. I saw some emo kids cry:) Check the pics!!!!

Patent Pending Makes a Splash in Cleveland
